About Me
I am a research professional with an MSc in Public Health and Health Systems degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada. I have been working in the health sector for nearly five years with three-year-long experience of working in the Infectious Diseases Division (Program on Emerging Infections) at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b).
I have worked on several national and international projects, which include (but are not limited to) the Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS), USAID’s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Strengthening Project and the Interrupting Pathways to Sepsis Initiative (IPSI) Project.
Notable achievements of mine include (but are not limited to) receiving the University of Waterloo's Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Award, the University of Dhaka's Undergraduate Scholarship for Academic Excellence, and UCLA-Harvard's 6th International Climate Geoengineering Summer School Scholarship.
I have published fifteen peer-reviewed articles (six lead-authored) to date and am a reviewer of fourteen prominent international journals such as Nature Communications, Nature Scientific Reports, PLoS One, PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, BMJ Paediatrics Open, Remote Sensing, BMC Tropical Medicine and Health, Applied Sciences, Earth Systems, and Environment and others.
I am currently working as a full-time Research Mentee at the School of Planning, University of Waterloo, Canada. The position, along with the research led by Dr. Jane Law, is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
